Innovative Technology Sales Executive

Summary

Dack Busch
People trivialize what they don't understand as a means to cope with complexity.  I lead teams and work with customers to make technology accessible while establishing clear value and differentiation.
I’m an experienced executive leading teams in both sales and sales engineering. I have a wealth of experience from startups to public companies where I’m known for building trusted relationships with Telecom, MSO, and ICP customers and driving innovative products with a collaborative approach.

I leverage my technical depth to drive requirements for product development solving real customer challenges with broad market awareness. This enables me to lead by example with teams while coaching and mentoring their growth.

If you review my experience you will see I’m an Electrical Engineer with a product development background. While I chose to move to the customer side of the business, I have always stayed close to technology giving me a unique blend of skills and leadership abilities.

Questions & Answers

What technology could induce the most change?
Without a doubt, quantum computing. The potential ramifications for AI, cryptography, and modeling are enormous.

Just 50 years ago the first integrated circuits were created for the Apollo Moonshot.  We've come a long way with IC's but Moore's law is now receding.  The potential of quantum computing is too intriguing to ignore.
What does it take for a startup to succeed?
A great leadership team and a good product or service.

Nothing is going to magically happen so extreme tenacity and a willingness to reinvent the company, across the team, are required.

Oh, and some luck!!
What is the key to Leadership?
Earning trust from your team, peers, and those you report to. The people are the company and they follow those whom they trust.

The best leaders create an environment for success, earning trust throughout the journey.  The culture blossoms and success becomes contagious.
Why did you choose your profession?
All through my childhood I was very curious to learn how things worked. By the time I was in high school I felt confident in understanding most anything from a mechanical perspective.

By the time I graduated high school I understood the basics of a computer and I could write programs, but I didn't understand the detailed design and electrical operation to my satisfaction.

My passion to understand electronics design led me to Electrical Engineering and then Silicon Valley where I got my start as a Communications Systems Design Engineer.
